Music radio shows and podcasts I like to listen to

Music is nice isn’t it? But once you’ve listened to all the music that you already know about how the blazes are you to find new music to put into your ears? Well yes, there’s ‘The Algorithm’ of course and all those Spotify playlists but personally I enjoy a human to do the recommending from time to time. I grew up hanging about in independent record shops and having CDs thrust into my hands by enthusiastic employees who enjoyed sharing the exciting new sounds from the racks. When the shops shut I’d tune into the likes of John Peel, Rob Da Bank, Mary Anne Hobbs and Huw Stevens to learn about exotic new releases.

These days it can be hard to know who to turn to for your new music fix so I decided to make a list of online radio shows that cater to my tastes. It’s mostly for my benefit but you’re are more than welcome to click on the links below, I cannot stop you and I wouldn’t try.
